Welcome to my psychotherapy practice. After a first career in law, raising a child, nurturing a marriage and navigating my way through early adulthood, I returned to my original and true passion: psychology. I believe in human potential. I strongly adhere to the concept of transformation through self-compassion, rewarding relationships and building internal capacity to handle conflict or challenging times to the best of your ability.
I work with my clients to co-create the life they want in a compassionate, safe and respectful atmosphere. My clients are individuals (over age 12), couples (straight or LGBTQ) & families who are seeking to gain emotional and psychological healing. The type of clients that are typically attracted to my practice are high functioning, intelligent, creative, warm, witty and reasonable. My therapy style is derived from my life experiences and my formal education, including a Masters in Clinical Psychology, specialized trainings including Emotion Focused Couples Therapy, Evidenced based Attachment Theory, Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Positive Psychology.
Receiving guidance from a non-judgmental, compassionate and informed therapist can make all the difference in the world. Therapy is meant to provide a safe space where you can bring your inner and outer conflicts into full view and receive empathy, understanding and find new avenues to reach your personal and professional goals. Through this process, you are likely to find your own path to growth and watch yourself flourish.
A licensed psychotherapist obtains a master’s degree, undergoes a supervised clinical internship and is licensed by the Board of Behavioral Sciences of California.
